Our Projects — In Action
Converting complex challenges into measurable industrial value.
Over the past two decades, Vapour Desal Technologies has delivered thermal desalination and engineered energy recovery systems across coastal, island, industrial, and high-integrity research environments.
Featured Thermal Desalination Projects
RAMDAS Solar Thermal Desalination
Location: Narippaiyur, Ramanathapuram, TN
Capacity: 144 m³/day MED-TVC
Year: 2011
India's first Solar Thermal Desalination Plant. Solar-powered with biomass backup for 24-hour production. 6 effects, GOR 10. Shell: Duplex Steel 2304. Tubes: Titanium Gr 2.
NTPC Simhadri Flue Gas Heat Recovery
Location: Simhadri, Andhra Pradesh
Capacity: 120 m³/day LTF-MED
Year: 2017
Waste heat recovered from flue gas to produce freshwater. Learnings from this project directly informed the development of the VVG concept. NTPC later used this water for Green Hydrogen production.
